The Inhambane Seascape – classified by the IUCN as a Globally Exceptional Marine Area, and by UNESCO as a Potential World Heritage Site – is also a Mission Blue Hope Spot and a unique bioregion scientifically recognized as essential to the health of the southern Western Indian Ocean and its marine ecosystems.

The Malamba-Mazuene Coastal Collaborative is located in the heart of the Inhambane Seascape. As Mission Blue Hope Spot Co-Champions, we are committed to working alongside coastal communities, governmental, and national and international partners invested in ensuring the integrity of this critically important marine and coastal bioregion and the wellbeing of its communities.
